FOSTER PARENT COMMENTS: Cosmo  is a sweet little snuggle-bug with bundles of personality. He is playful and sweet, and absolutely loves his toys, especially furry ones with squeakers—even better if they have feet and ears he can nibble on!  Cosmo  adores people and attention and loves to cuddle up and snooze with his foster parents and his canine foster siblings. But he is also good at entertaining himself and knows right where to find the toy box. He enjoys leash walks around the neighborhood, is eager to please, and wants to learn. A playful little guy, he has bursts of young pup energy, and then just wants to curl up and soak in the snuggles.  Cosmo  is doing very well with his training and knows sit, down, up, and shake with more to come!    He would likely enjoy a household that had another small young dog he could play with, but that will also give him lots of personal attention, love, and cuddles. We think he would also do well in a home without another dog, but where he would be given lots of human interaction and play time.

We think Cosmo would do best with older children, perhaps 12+. He might be OK with younger kids, but it would depend upon the child and their experience with dogs.    He is still sometimes a little "mouthy" when playing and his bursts of young pup energy could scare a little toddler.

EVERY DOG HAS A STORY: Little  Cosmo  was pulled from a rural shelter near the coast right before Hurricane Matthew struck NC.    He was thin, frightened, and had been suffering from a bad flea allergy.    BFPA has been treating him, and his coat is recovering and growing back nicely.    He is putting on weight and living the good life now!    He is a sweet little pup who quickly came out of his shell once he was in a loving foster home. He would make a wonderful addition to someone’s home. He is a snuggle bug!!     Please consider adopting  Cosmo !
