FOSTER COMMENTS: Finley loves to play with other dogs and children.  He will be happy in a home with both.  He loves to roughhouse! He likes to chew bones, play, do tricks, play, sit with humans and play.  Yes, play! His favorite toys are rawhides, tennis balls and squeaky toys. He is very smart, active and loving. Finley needs someone who will take him to play and run but also give him a lot of attention.  A large, fenced in yard would be ideal. He likes to be with his humans and will curl up in the corner as long as he can see you.  He is extremely smart and learns tricks  very quickly.  He would make a great agility dog.  He needs things to occupy his attention, i.e. other dogs.  He is in a foster home with 4 other dogs of varying ages and has made friends with all of them within 5 minutes of showing up!  Finley sleeps in a crate at night and spends the day in a big fenced yard with his dog friends.  He hangs out inside with all the family in the evenings.  He is largely house trained but one needs to watch him closely to look for signs that he needs to go outside.  Finley is crate trained but has a strange tendency to growl after being locked in his crate.  It is the only time we hear him growl.  We are working to make the crate experience positive and he willingly goes into the crate but reacts by growling when the door is closed.  Having a companion animal is very important.  Finley will play rough so older kids are preferred.  He loves to bark at horses and goats and would likely herd them if he could.

EVERY DOG HAS A STORY: Finley was found as a stray. His rescuer posted "found" notices in the area he was found and also posted in all the local lost and found online sites for animals.  No one came forward to claim Finley.  BFPA was contacted and we were happy to help Findley find a forever home.  Could this be your house??   INTERESTED IN ADOPTING FINLEY ?
