COMMENTS ABOUT MOONPIE : Moonpie is an awesome dog who adores children and is so good with them.  He will be ideal for kids who know how to act around dogs.   He lives with another dog and enjoys being an inside dog now, check out his photos enjoying a special treat of pancake!  Moonpie has truly blossomed and loves to lounge on the couch and just be in his humans presence, even trying to get in your lap!  Moonpie really enjoys the company of another dog so a home with a companion doggie would be preferred.  Because Moonpie lived outside he is heartworm positive and receiving treatment now which BFPA covers.  He will be ready for his forever home once treatment is completed.  

Moonpie is excellent in reading the energy in the house.  He can just chill easily but if it is playtime, he is ready to play.  He loves head rubs and belly rubs.  He likes to keep busy chewing on hard toys such as Nylabones and antlers. His foster keeps him in a crate at night and when she is not home but feels that he could be left out without any issues.  He has never chewed anything inappropriate or had an accident in the house.  

EVERY DOG HAS A STORY: Moonpie was admitted into BFPA when his owners lost their home due to flooding because of Hurricane Matthew.  He once lived on a chain but that was in the past and he has long forgotten that experience and enjoys the comforts of the couch!  When BFPA heard his story, we wanted to help him find another hone. He was previously an outdoor dog so he is now finding out how nice it is to live inside and be part of a loving pack.    INTERESTED IN ADOPTING MOONPIE ?
