FOSTER FAMILY COMMENTS:  We suspect that Rosie is a Beagle/Fox hound mix. She does well with everyone she meets and loves being loved. Her favorite thing is to get belly rubs. Rosie does well with other dogs but probably would be best in a home without cats or with a dog savvy cat who will stand up to her.  Her initial reaction to a cat was to be leery but once she got used to the cat, she wanted to play but with too much gusto and when the cat ran away, she would chase it.  A good swipe might have made a difference.

She is housebroken but still needs work with basic commands. Because of her pregnancy and subsequent motherhood, taking care of her puppies was the main focus. Now that her puppies have all been adopted, we are focusing on training and find she is very treat and praise motivated which will aid in training.

Rosie is currently going through heart worm treatment and then she will be in tip top shape!     Rosie will make an amazing addition to any family. Our whole family has fallen in love with her and you will too.

EVERY DOG HAS A STORY: Rosie was pulled from a rural shelter and when she was taken for her first vet appointment, it was discovered that she was pregnant!  She thrived in her foster home and was given the best care possible.  She gave birth to 8 healthy puppies. She has been a wonderful Mother.   Look at the photo with her whole family:-) All her puppies have been adopted and now it is Rosie's turn go find her forever home.
