Heath is a sweet and playful boy who absolutely adores romping with other dogs, almost as much as he adores people!  Because of his story (see below) we feel Heath would be happiest in a home with at least one other dog to play with and to follow, especially when humans aren't around. Since Heath was used to living outside 24/7 his first months of life, a home with a fenced yard and outdoor time would also be best for him. He is very gentle for his young age so would do great with dog savvy children. Heath is a free spirit and is not keen on being crated/confined, but tolerates the crate for short periods. At night he likes to sleep on a dog bed in his person's room and will sleep quite soundly. This sweet boy is a "velcro dog" and is happiest when with his family.

EVERY DOG HAS A STORY: Heath's story is unique, his Mom was a stray for over a year who found refuge in the yard of a kind elderly gentleman who did not have the means to care for her or her puppies, but did the best he could.  A BFPA volunteer spotted Heath and his family loose by the road and stopped to ask if help was needed for them, and the older gentleman kindly allowed BFPA to rescue them to give them a better life. Despite not having a true "home" Heath and his family adore all people and other dogs.
