Hello! My name is Coal.  Don’t let my name fool you, because I’m all sweets.  I didn’t get any coal in my stocking this year!

I am such a great dog with a fun-loving personality.  I love palling around with my foster brother, Clay.  Even though he’s 75 pounds, I think I’m bigger and am not afraid!  I enjoy running, playing, and chasing toys around.  My favorite pastime is finding big leaves and sticks to carry around when we’re outside.  It makes me so proud! I like to trot over and tell you about it.  I love to snuggle with you when I get tired.  What’s that saying? Play hard, sleep hard?  That’s me!  My foster mom says my best asset is my floppy ears and how they flip and flop all around when I run.  It makes me super cute, or something like that!

My foster family is working with me on “come”, “sit” and “potty”.  I’m learning how to use the potty outside and sleep in my crate at night. I am easily motivated by treats and am a great eater.  My Mom who is picture above is 55 lbs.  So I might be that large when I grow up.

I would be happiest with another friend to pal around with, but would also enjoy being your main man.  I’m good with people, kids, and other dogs. I’m interested in kitties and still trying to figure them out!

Favorite Activities:

  • Crunching leaves and sticks
  • Running and exploring
  • Chasing toys and rough-housing with my sister
  • Playing with my big foster brother

I’m ready to be your very best friend!

Some of the information contained in this biography includes approximations based on our expertise and is not guaranteed.  Applicants should live within 30-60 minutes of Raleigh/Cary as our dogs must be seen by a BFPA veterinarian for all medical care prior to adoptions being being finalized after they are altered at 4-6 months old.  Adopters must be willing to bring their puppy to the Raleigh area for all medical care needed. We do home visits to finalize all adoptions.  We therefore require applicants to live locally.
