FOSTER COMMENTS:

Mac is such a sweet dog!  He loves people and other animals. He is a Pomeranian mix boy who is 3 years old and 20 pounds.  He found himself at the shelter when his owner passed away.  Best Friends Pet Adoption has stepped in to help him find his new forever home.

It took a while for Mac to warm up in our home, he never acted timid, just unsure.  He has relaxed and his true personality is shining thru.  He’s very friendly with all dogs, cats and people!  He loves our cat and plays with her whenever she will tolerate him!

Mac is an easy-going dog who is crate trained.  At night he alternates between sleeping in his crate and with one of our daughters either in their bed or under it.  He is learning our schedule and routine and has done very well in his housetraining.  Mac has not been around young children, only teenagers in our home but he is a very tolerant dog. We work from home so Mac has not been left alone for a long period of time.

Mac is mostly quiet so he could do well in an apartment as long as he gets frequent long walks and interaction with his humans.  He will bark if our other dogs bark, if someone comes to the door, or if he wants to play with the cat and she’s ignoring him, he’ll give her 1 quick bark to try and get her attention.   Mac does fine by himself but loves the company of other dogs or cats.  If he is the only animal in his forever home, he would like to have social interaction with other animals when possible!

Mac likes to play with toys and chase balls  and our cat!  He’ll be quiet and content once he gets his energy out.   Mac would love a yard but would be ok as long as he got long walks for exercise. He  walks great on a leash, doesn’t pull and is learning not to wander.

Mac is such a sweet dog!  He just loves people and other animals.  He does not cause any damage to the house but he will chew on a socks or shoes if they are left out!  He loves his chew toys and will play fetch or tug of war until you are worn out!  He likes car rides and will either sit in the back seat with someone or use a doggie seatbelt.  He is very intelligent and learns quickly.  He is looking for his forever home with a family to love

Applicants must live no further than one hour from Cary NC as our dogs must be seen by a BFPA veterinarian for all medical care prior to adoptions being finalized.  Our foster guardians deliver dogs to their new homes for adoption trials and we do home visits to finalize all adoptions.  We therefore require applicants to live within an hours drive of Cary NC.
