SPAYED OR NEUTERED: Neutered. MICROCHIPPED: Yes AROUND DOGS: LB needs to go to a home without other dogs. He would do best with an experienced dog owner who practices pack leadership. AROUND CATS: Unsure as LB has never lived with a kitty, but we can safely test him should a potential adopter request. AROUND CHILDREN: LB would do best in a home without children. HOUSEBROKEN: LB has excellent house manners. CRATETRAINED: LB responds to the command kennel up to go into his crate. LEASH MANNERS: Tugs a little, but responds well when walking on leash especially to positive reinforcement. He likes to chew his nylon leash, so needs careful attention or use a sturdier leash. CAR RIDES: LB loves car rides! He rides calmly, but if a stranger approaches the car unexpectedly he can become anxious. His foster mom is working with him to overcome this. FOSTER PARENT COMMENTS: LB is affectionately called a Noodle Dog because he turns into a floppy noodle when receiving affection from his humans! LB has some typical hound-like anxiety toward strangers. He does like to alert his humans if someone comes to the door, but with proper introductions he seeks affection. Once he has met someone and relaxes he becomes very happy to see them again. LB likes to play with his squeaky toys. He does well in a fenced in yard or if someone walks him a couple times a day. Although he does well in a crate, he can be trusted to be uncrated when you are not home, and he prefers it that way. EVERY DOG HAS A STORY: A kind person found LB as a stray when he was about 5 months old and approached BFPA for help. He was brought into our group and fostered by his rescuer and soon adopted. Unfortunately his adopter returned him to BFPA a year later due to dominance issues with her other male dog.
