JACIE'S PHOTO GALLERY STATUS: Jacie has found her forever home in Durham with Diane Miller and her dog, Lilli. PERSONALITY: Extremely loving, playful ~DOB: July 2011 WEIGHT: 17lbs. HEALTH: Jacie is UTD on all vaccinations and monthly preventatives. STERILIZED: Spayed MICROCHIPPED: Yes DOGS: Jacie loves playing with other small to medium dogs. Jacie is a little afraid of larger, more rambunctious dogs. CATS: Jacie likes to chase kitties, so would not be a good choice for a home with cats. CHILDREN: Untested, but would be best in a home with older, respectful children who understand how to behave around smaller dogs. HOUSEBROKEN: Yes CRATETRAINED: Yes LEASH MANNERS: Jacie has not had a lot of experience on a leash. She pulls a little with excitement but works well with a harness. CAR RIDES: Rides very well in the car. FOSTER PARENT COMMENTS: Jacie is friendly, playful and loving to all people. She likes to play with other dogs who are a similar size to herself. She would do well in a home with another small or medium sized friendly dog. Jacie loves to snooze in a sunny spot, but her favorite thing is to be close to her people. EVERY DOG HAS A STORY: Jacie was removed from her home by animal control due to neglect. Jacie was afraid in the shelter, so she was initially fostered by a wonderful WCAS foster, who had several other cats and dogs in her home. The foster reached out to BFPA and we were happy to help. We do home visits to finalize adoptions and/or deliver the adopted dog. Therefore, we prefer potential adopters live a reasonable distance to the Triangle area (Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill) of North Carolina.
