FOSTER PARENT COMMENTS: Oakley is a little sweetie, he loves attention and playing with his toys, he really enjoys playing tug and his favorite buddy is a stuffed squirrel. He is doing well with basic puppy training, and will do well with a family who will further his training. He would love to have another dog to play with but should do ok as an only dog. He is a little shy around other dogs but warms up quickly. EVERY DOG HAS A STORY: Oakley and his eight littermates came to BFPA from a shelter where they had been surrendered as an unwanted litter. A shelter volunteer called BFPA to save these babies, and we were happy to admit them to our foster network! ADOPTING A YOUNG PUPPY FROM BFPA: Requires that you live no further than a 30-mile radius from the Triangle area of North Carolina, as you must be close enough for us to meet all the medical procedures we cover before final adoption. We prefer to adopt young puppies to a single, couple or family who have previous experience owning a dog and live in a single family house rather than an apartment, condo or townhome. Any children in the home under 6 years old must have experience living with a dog in their home. Some of the information contained in this biography includes approximations based on our expertise and is not guaranteed. We do home visits to finalize adoptions and/or deliver the adopted dog. Therefore, we prefer potential adopters live a reasonable distance to the Triangle area (Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill) of North Carolina. INTERESTED IN ADOPTING OAKLEY?
