FOSTER PARENT COMMENTS:  Katniss is just over 6 pounds at 5 weeks old.  She along with her "twin" Primrose are the most vocal and playful of the bunch. They certain like to have a good time.  Her coloring is absolutely beautiful! She will be available for adoption after her first set of vaccines on 2/24.  

EVERY DOG HAS A STORY: Katniss and her 7 siblings were born on 1/5/17.  Their Mother, Rosie, is a BFPA dog who was pulled from a shelter a few weeks before her puppies were born. BPFA not only saved the life of Rosie but also her 8 puppies who are all now looking for their forever homes. Please consider adopting one of these special puppies.

ADOPTING A YOUNG PUPPY FROM BFPA: Requires that you live no further than a 30-mile radius from the Triangle area of North Carolina, as you must be close enough for us to meet all the medical procedures we cover before final adoption. We prefer to adopt young puppies to a single, couple or family who have previous experience owning a dog and live in a single family house rather than an apartment, condo or townhome.
