FOSTER PARENT COMMENTS: Ivy loves to wrestle with her sister, Izzy, who is also being fostered in the same home.  She also loves to cuddle and be with people.   When not in her crate, she is never far away from a family member. She has a favorite stuffed Santa and also loves to chase tennis balls.  She is a lab mix so the retriever part is definitely showing!

Ivy and her sister Izzie have been two of the sweetest puppies I’ve ever fostered. They love playing with each other but will quickly leave the other when one of my family members gets on their level to play.  I believe Ivy will be an easy one to housebreak as she quickly figured out she gets a treat when she eliminates outside – she looks up pretty when she’s done, as if to say ‘I did good, where’s my treat?’  I also think she will be ok with cats.  I have an older cat whom she and her sister followed around a couple of times but exhibited no aggression at all.

EVERY DOG HAS A STORY: Ivy and her two siblings were pulled from a rural shelter.  When BFPA heard about these precious puppies, we were happy to bring them into BFPA and find forever homes for each pup.  One puppy is already getting ready for an adoption trial.  Ivy and Indie are hoping their chance comes soon too

Some of the information contained in this biography includes approximations based on our expertise and is not guaranteed. We do home visits to finalize adoptions and/or deliver the adopted dog. Therefore, we prefer potential adopters live a reasonable distance to the Triangle area (Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill) of North Carolina.

ADOPTING A YOUNG PUPPY FROM BFPA: Requires that you live no further than a 30-mile radius from the Triangle area of North Carolina, as you must be close enough for us to meet all the medical procedures we cover before final adoption. We prefer to adopt young puppies to a single, couple or family who have previous experience owning a dog and live in a single family house rather than an apartment, condo or townhome. Any children in the home under 6 years old must have experience living with a dog in their home.
