FOSTER PARENT COMMENTS: Darby was so mal-nourished and skinny when he arrived at my house that all he wanted to do was eat. He has blossomed into a wonderful dog who loves life. He has a stunning bridle coat.  His best buddy is our older dog who is seen in one of his photos above. Darby really likes to play and gets along great with other dogs.  He loves playing with paper too!   He is a cuddle bug, tough and very alert.  I work from home and he spent much of his early days in my lap.  Darby loves people so much.  He will make a wonderful addition to someones life. We were also fostering his brother who is currently on adoption trial.  Darby is now waiting for his turn to find his furever home.  Could it be with you??

EVERY DOG HAS A STORY:  Darby and his siblings were found in an abandoned home, bought into a rural shelter and then rescued by BFPA.  We are now looking for forever homes for all these puppies.

Some of the information contained in this biography includes approximations based on our expertise and is not guaranteed. We do home visits to finalize adoptions and/or deliver the adopted dog.

ADOPTING A YOUNG PUPPY FROM BFPA: Requires that you live no further than a 30-mile radius from the Triangle area of North Carolina, as you must be close enough for us to meet all the medical procedures we cover before final adoption. We prefer to adopt young puppies to a single, couple or family who have previous experience owning a dog and live in a single family house rather than an apartment, condo or townhome. Any children in the home under 6 years old must have experience living with a dog in their home. INTERESTED IN ADOPTING DARBY ?
