FOSTER PARENT COMMENTS: Mandy is the perfect houseguest! This delightful lady is eager to please, attentive, and easygoing. Her favorite things to do are sunbathe indoors & out, nap, and snuggle. She enjoys time in the yard with our family, always staying near to us no matter what we're doing. She doesn't seem to mind the rambunctiousness of two young boys under the age of 5, and happily allows them to feed her every meal. Mandy is fully housebroken and does fine in the house uncrated when we are not home. Mandy does have a limp as a result of an old injury to her front left leg, however our vet believes that it does not cause her any pain as she can move quickly when she sees a squirrel! She is currently on a glucosamine joint supplement for joint health, and we do recommend she stay on it for the rest of her life. *Mandy is heartworm positive and currently undergoing treatment.*

EVERY DOG HAS A STORY: Mandy was originally found as a stray, dodging cars on a four lane road in a rural county. On the day she was set to be euthanized at the shelter, the woman who found her swooped in at the last minute and brought her home to temp foster until we were able to bring her into the BFPA foster network.  She is now looking for her forever home so she can continue to live in a loving home and know the joys of being part of a family.
