She was such a sweet girl and the shelter felt she might be pregnant. BFPA gladly admitted her and took her to a vet right away. Yes, she was pregnant! She gave birth to 10 gorgeous puppies on 6/11/17. There are 5 females and 5 males. Rue's foster Mom says that Rue tends to be a follower. She won't initiate play but will play as soon as another puppy comes to play. Then she gladly joins in. She isn't very vocal...not one of the loud whiners! This is a good trait:-) Let Rue join your family and watch her grow up! Rue and the other puppies will be available for trial adoptions beginning the first week in August after their first set of vaccines. All the puppies including Rue will need to remain in the adopters home/yard to ensure that they are not exposed to dangerous viruses until they have their second set of vaccines approximately one month later. They will not be able to go to dog parks, doggie day care, other yards, etc. during this initial period. Rue's adoption will be finalized after she is spayed, so the adoption trial period will be longer than normal. BFPA pays for all medical costs until adoptions are finalized. If you are interested in adopting Rue or any of these puppies, please complete an application using the link below. Applications will be screened in the order they are received. If you are approved, you can meet the foster Mom, Rue and all the puppies :-) Each one is different in looks and personality!
