He was rescued from a rural shelter and is timid at first but sweet and friendly. He loves people and wants to be in the company of people at all times. He’s very food motivated and we are working on some basic commands. He’s been a very easy dog, getting along well with our 3 dogs (one smaller and 2 larger). He is also learning to walk on leash and likes his walks with his foster sister in the evenings. Every day, we see more of his personality shining through. After having so many changes in his life recently, he is really acclimating quickly to yet another a new environment. Freddy likes to go for walks and explore the backyard...especially when he sees a skink:-) The chase begins! Freddy loves to snuggle on the couch and be with his humans all the time. He can be a bit shy at first but then turns into a lap dog! He is sweet, calm and loving. Freddy is really is a joy and will a great family pet. EVERY DOG HAS A STORY: Freddy and 7 other dogs were owner surrenders from the same family. They were surrendered to a small, rural shelter because the family could no longer care for so many dogs. A BFPA volunteer who lives in the area became aware of these dogs and contacted BFPA. We were happy to admit all 8 dog into our rescue. Two dogs are pregnant so we admitted many more than 8 dogs on a very sunny, hot day in July! Please consider opening up your home for Freddy. The other dogs will be added to our web site shortly (except for the pregnant ones) .
