She loves to snuggle and be wherever her humans are hanging out. She is quiet and great with other dogs and completely respectful of cats. Daisy has great house manners and does not need to be crated. She does not know how to play with other dogs (yet) but does enjoy being with other dogs for confidence, and especially during walks. She walks well on a leash but needs further practice as she tends to weave a bit. She has great recall and comes when called. Daisy is shy when meeting new people and takes longer to warm up to men than women, but she bonds very quickly with whomever is taking care of her. She is a little nervous during car trips (whines some) but is getting consistently more relaxed with each trip. Daisy did not receive any vet care prior to being rescued by BFPA, but is very healthy. She will be undergoing heartworm treatment at the end of August. EVERY DOG HAS A STORY: Daisy and 7 other dogs were surrendered to the Tyrell county shelter from the same family. They were all extremely scared and traumatize in the shelter. A BFPA volunteer who volunteers with this shelter contacted BFPA who managed to find foster space for all 8 dogs so none were left behind. T wo of the dogs were pregnant and 3 were heartworm positive, all were heavily infested with fleas. All are safe and will never experience being abandoned again. Please consider opening up your home to Daisy or another one of these precious "just the right size" dogs!
