FOSTER PARENT COMMENTS:  Rudy is a sweet, loving dachshund mix dog.  He is a bit shy at first and is looking for someone who doesn't mind taking it slow and easy. Once he trusts you,  he gives you his whole heart and he will show you what an awesome snuggle bug he is! Rudy will be your little shadow.  He has a goofy, playful side but doesn't seem to know much about playing with toys yet. He enjoys a nice walk but he doesn't need to meet everyone along the way.  Since he is more of a homebody than a social butterfly, he may fit best in a quiet adult home where he can spend quality time with humans who will lavish attention on him.  He will return it hundred fold.  Could you be Rudy's special someone? 

EVERY DOG HAS A STORY: 

Rudy and 7 other dogs were owner surrenders from the same family. They were surrendered to a small, rural shelter because the owners could no longer take proper care of them.  A  BFPA volunteer who lives in the area heard about these dogs and contacted BFPA to see if we could admit them.  We gladly admitted them into our rescue. All the dogs are receiving vet care and are in wonderful foster home. 

Two of the dogs were pregnant so we saved many more than 8 dogs on a very sunny, hot day in July!  Please consider opening up your home to Rudy or another one of these precious "just the right size" dogs!
