FOSTER PARENT COMMENTS: Mae is a typical puppy who is happy and exploring her new world.  She likes to play with her siblings, loves to be held and can't wait for her next adventure in life....finding her furever home.  Mae has the darkest coat of the four puppies and it is a bit curly.  She has a little bend in her tail and is very outgoing! Her momma is around 20 lbs and there is a good chance her daddy is also around the same weight.  So Mae will probably be around the same size.  You can submit an application for Mae now.

She will be getting her first set of vaccines September 27th and then will be ready to start an adoption trial.  PLEASE NOTE:  If a trial adoption begins before her second set of vaccines, the potential adopters will have to keep Mae in their home and yard to minimize the risk of exposure to germs.   Interaction with unknown dogs at pet stores, doggie day care, dog parks, apartment buildings, etc. should be avoided during this period.

EVERY DOG HAS A STORY:  Mae is one of Maisy's puppies.  Maisy was rescued from a shelter when she was pregnant and was in a loving foster home when her puppies were born.  Mae is one of four puppies now looking for their forever home.  We hope you consider this little darling girl!

ADOPTING A YOUNG PUPPY FROM BFPA: Requires that you live no further than a 30-mile radius from the Triangle area of North Carolina, as you must be close enough for us to meet all the medical procedures we cover before final adoption. We prefer to adopt young puppies to a single, couple or family who have previous experience owning a dog and live in a single family house rather than an apartment, condo or town home. Puppies can be very vocal at a young age when left alone and typically a building with shared walls is not an ideal location for them.  Any children in the home under 6 years old must have experience living with a dog in their home.
