FOSTER PARENT COMMENTS: Nemo and his 7 litter mates are available for adoption now!   Their Mother is a 35 lb  Plott Hound mix and the dad is a larger lab.  So we are not sure how large Nemo will be.    Because Nemo is not  fully vaccinated yet,  you must be able to stay in town for the holidays as he cannot move environments due to the high risk of catching a contagious virus.  

EVERY DOG HAS A STORY:  Nemo and his sibling were owner surrenders from eastern NC.  They made the trip to the Triangle area so they could find their forever homes.  Nemo has now had his first set of vaccines so he is ready to begin the journey of finding his new home!  Please consider making this puppy a part of your family.  .  

PLEASE NOTE: Nemo has only had one set of vaccines, so if a trial adoption begins before his second set of vaccines, the potential adopters will have to keep the puppy in their home and yard to minimize the risk of exposure to germs.   Interaction with unknown dogs at pet stores, doggie day care, etc. should be avoided during this period.

ADOPTING A YOUNG PUPPY FROM BFPA: Requires that you live no further than a 30-mile radius from the Triangle area of North Carolina, as you must be close enough for us to meet all the medical procedures we cover before final adoption. We prefer to adopt young puppies to a single, couple or family who have previous experience owning a dog and live in a single family house rather than an apartment, condo or townhome.
