FOSTER PARENT COMMENTS: Lacey loves attention and being with her family more than anything else, she really loves snuggling. She also loves to play with her toys and do zoomies around the yard with her foster brother. Even though she is a hound mix she does not bark much, only to alert you to strangers or animals trespassing :) Since apartments are a bit more noisy she may bark in an apartment setting or people passing by so a home environment would be a better environment for her. She is good with children but small critters like guinea pigs or cats are too interesting to her so she would do best with people. She does get along with other dogs that are friendly, if they are in her face or very barky she does not like that. She is crate trained and house trained but she is young so she should be crated when she cannot be supervised until she can be trusted, she is curious about her surroundings so she would love someone that would help her with training. She is between 1-2 years old and 22lbs full grown so she is an ideal size for any home. Lacey is heartworm positive so timing of an adoption trial will be dependent upon her treatment schedule. BFPA pays for all heartworm treatment costs. EVERY DOG HAS A STORY: Lacey was rescued from a small, rural shelter. BFPA does not know much about her life before being rescued. But we know she is now in a wonderful, loving foster home and her life has changed forever.
