FOSTER PARENT COMMENTS: FOSTER PARENT COMMENTS: After living outside his entire life (4-5 months), one of Tahoe's favorite things is to stay warm and finally receive attention from humans. Tahoe enjoys playing. His favorite toy is a fluffy, squeaky toy which is perhaps the first toy he has had besides sticks and what ever he found outside. Tahoe is sweet, cautiously curious and is so happy to see me! He not only wags his tail, he wags his whole body!! He is so happy to finally have human contact which is very loving. Tahoe is very gentle but can be a little mischievous and show his true puppy side. He likes to collect things from around the house and take them into his crate . He is passive but curious about other dogs and gently curious about kitties. Tahoe is interested in learning and responds to positive reinforcement training methods. He is timid so will need time to warm up to a new home and people. But once he does, he will be wagging is whole body when he see you too! We are working on house training. Since he was never in a home before BFPA rescued him, he has many things to learn and at a great age to learn them. Tahoe is taken outside for potty breaks frequently and is crated when alone. Things are going well because he is eager to please and looks forward to praise....and maybe a treat or two also:-) Tahoe is wondering if you too have a warm home he could come and live in for the rest of his life?? He is eager to find his forever home and continue to learn how great it is to be inside and loved. EVERY DOG HAS A STORY: Tahoe and his siblings were living outside in frigid temperatures. A volunteer alerted BFPA about this situation and we were able to convince the owner to surrender the puppies to BFPA. They are now warm and in wonderful foster homes.
