FOSTER PARENT COMMENTS:
Bandit has met several new people and has done well with everyone. He lets them pick him up and goes straight into his favorite position "cuddle". He loves to lay his head on your neck and snuggle up. He is eager to please and very affectionate.
Bandit has done very well with his foster sister. They play constantly and he is definitely not intimidated by the "big dog". He has not met any cats yet.
Bandit is working on his house training and crate training. One interesting thing that he does is push any "accidents" in his crate to the back of his crate. He balls up the pee pad and pushes away from him. He definitely prefers to do his business outside!
Bandit has learned "sit" as he waits for his food. He weighs a little over 10 lbs and we would expect him to get around 30-35 lbs.
Bandit is a very sweet and gentle little guy. He loves to play and has lots of energy. He loves bully sticks, balls, and squeaky toys. He loves to play fetch, until his little legs get to tired to run after the ball. Then he just slowly gets it and brings back. He sleeps well at night and goes to bed around 8:30.
Bandit is looking for his forever home and hopes that you will consider him. He is really a joy to have around and will make a great pet.
EVERY DOG HAS A STORY: Sadly, Bandit was left in a drop box at a small, rural shelter. When BFPA heard about him, we quickly rescued him and brought him into a wonderful foster home. PLEASE NOTE: Bandit has only had one set of vaccines so if a trial adoption begins before his second set of vaccines, the potential adopters will have to keep Bandit in their home and yard to minimize the risk of exposure to germs. Interaction with unknown dogs at pet stores, doggie day care, dog parks, etc. should be avoided during this period. ADOPTING A YOUNG PUPPY FROM BFPA: Requires that you live no further than a 30-mile radius from the Triangle area of North Carolina, as you must be close enough for us to meet all the medical procedures we cover before final adoption. We prefer to adopt young puppies to a single, couple or family who have previous experience owning a dog and live in a single family house rather than an apartment, condo or townhome. Any children in the home under 6 years old must have experience living with a dog in their home. INTERESTED IN ADOPTING BANDIT ?
