FOSTER PARENT COMMENTS: Jameson will take time to get used to a new person but once you have gained his trust, he is friendly. He is very sweet and is coming out of his shell more every day. He is also like that with other dogs...timid and then friendly. He is very bonded with his brother, Jack, who is also in the same foster home. They love to run around the fenced backyard and explore every inch of the yard. Jameson was living outside when he was rescued by BFPA. He still likes being outside but is sure learning how nice it is to be inside a nice, warm house! He is learning house manners and doing excellent with potty training...NO accidents in the house. He is in a gated area with a crate available. He will go into the crate on his own to take naps and feel safe. He is learning to be on a leash. Jameson lives with a cat and generally doesn't pay any attention to her. He is usually a very quiet dog but might bark when other dogs bark or when he is trying to alert you about "something". Jameson is timid but friendly and would benefit greatly from an adopter who will work to increase his socialization. He is very close to his brother and might need extra attention to reduce anxiety related to separating from his brother. They are both looking for their forever home and hope that you will consider bringing them into your home and family. EVERY DOG HAS A STORY: Jameson and his 3 siblings were living outside in deplorable conditions. BFPA worked with another rescue group to bring these puppies into warm, wonderful foster homes. They are enjoying attention, love and affection now! Some of the information contained in this biography includes approximations based on our expertise and is not guaranteed. We do home visits to finalize adoptions and/or deliver the adopted dog. PLEASE NOTE: Jameson has only had one set of vaccines so if a trial adoption begins before his second set of vaccines (early April) , the potential adopters will have to keep Jameson in their home and yard to minimize the risk of exposure to germs. Interaction with unknown dogs at pet stores, doggie day care, dog parks, etc. should be avoided during this period. ADOPTING A YOUNG PUPPY FROM BFPA: Requires that you live no further than a 30-mile radius from the Triangle area of North Carolina, as you must be close enough for us to meet all the medical procedures we cover before final adoption. We prefer to adopt young puppies to a single, couple or family who have previous experience owning a dog and live in a single family house rather than an apartment, condo or townhome. Any children in the home under 6 years old must have experience living with a dog in their home. INTERESTED IN ADOPTING JAMESON?
