FOSTER PARENT COMMENTS: Ruthie is a happy, friendly girl who is looking for a new home with her best pal, Squirt.  She is around 12 years old and weighs 11 lbs.  Ruthie is blind in one eye due to cataracts, but she doesn't let that slow her down.  She is happiest when she can hang out next to you on the couch with Squirt nearby.  These girls are a bonded pair and both do well with children, kitties, and other dogs.   **BFPA will waive the adoption fee for one of the dogs as these girls need to be adopted together.

EVERY DOG HAS A STORY: Squirt and Ruthie were surrendered to a rural shelter when the owner could no longer give them the time and attention required when owning a dog.  BFPA was happy to take in these two cuties and find great homes for them.

We do home visits to deliver the dog and also to finalize adoptions. Therefore, we prefer potential adopters live a reasonable distance to the Triangle area (Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill) of North Carolina.  Also all our dogs must be seen by a BFPA veterinarian for any medical care prior to adoptions being finalized.  So applicant would need to travel to Raleigh for any vet care which may be needed.
