She is very friendly, gets along with other dogs and is interested and curious about our cat but respectful. Rose has been around children and she enjoys them as much as they enjoy her! There is nothing like children and puppies having a good time. Rose is usually a quiet girl. She whines sometimes when she is separated from us but not often. She barks sometimes when playing with our dog and occasionally at the cat..no doubt telling the cat she wants to play. We are working on house breaking Rose. She is a typical puppy who needs to be taken outside often. Rose may know what she should do but her body can't go a long, long time yet. Rose is not confined to a crate often but does chose on her own to go in and lay and play in it. At night, she has access to sleep in her crate. She is already being walked on a leash and getting used to it.
Rose is being taught some basic commands and already knows "sit". She is very playful but can also snuggle in your lap. She routinely sits quietly to get your attention.
Rose is charismatic, has beautiful markings, smart, loves people, and other dogs. She is so sweet and cute. Her Mother was a border collie mix and her Dad is unknown. She is now looking for her forever home and hopes that you will consider making her a part of your family.
EVERY DOG HAS A STORY: Rose and her siblings were surrendered to a small, rural shelter. BFPA was happy to admit these pups and help them along in life by finding wonderful homes to all of them. Some of the information contained in this biography includes approximations based on our expertise and is not guaranteed. ADOPTING A YOUNG PUPPY FROM BFPA: Requires that you live no further than a 30-mile radius from the Triangle area of North Carolina, as you must be close enough for us to meet all the medical procedures we cover before final adoption. We prefer to adopt young puppies to people who have previous experience owning a dog and live in a single family house rather than an apartment, condo or townhome. Puppies can be vocal when left alone and shared walls are sometimes an issue. Any children in the home under 6 years old must have experience living with a dog in their home. INTERESTED IN ADOPTING ROSE ? If so, please fill out our dog adoption application by copying and pasting this link in a new browser window: https://toolkit.rescuegroups.org/of/f?c=WHMSYCNC PLEASE NOTE: Rose has only had one set of vaccines so if a trial adoption begins before the second set of vaccines which will be around 6/20, the potential adopters will have to keep her in their home and yard to minimize the risk of exposure to germs. Interaction with unknown dogs at pet stores, doggie day care, dog parks and any public areas where other dogs may frequent should be avoided during this period.
