FOSTER PARENT COMMENTS:  Nemo is a 9 year old 15 lb. Yorkshire Terrier who is looking for his new forever home.  He is a cute little Yorkie who likes to stick his tongue out! Nemo is not being rude when he does that because he loves people.  He apparently has done that since he was a tiny puppy. Nemo is very friendly, low keyed and loves to be with his humans.  He lives with other larger dogs and gets along fine with them. While he gets along fine with other dogs, he would also do well being an only dog.  He loves attention so getting all the doggie love in a home would suit him fine. 

 We don't know how Nemo will be around young children or cats.  He would probably be fine since he is low keyed.   He is crate trained and sleep in his crate at night.  

Nemo doesn't require a lot of exercise and has low to moderate energy.  He does like to take walks, eat, sleep and be with people. He walks well and knows most basic commands. 

Nemo will bark at times, probably saying something in doggy talk! It appears that he must have been an outside dog or was never  properly house trained.  So we are house training him now by having him wear a belly band in the house and he gets frequent potty breaks during the day. Right now, he can go a couple hours without an accident but needs supervision.  Nemo will need continued training to make him a successful inside dog.  

EVERY DOG HAS A STORY:  Nemo was surrendered to BFPA when his former owners were going through a divorce and were not giving Nemo adequate attention and care.  They felt it was in his best interest to find another home.  He hopes you will consider making him a part of your family.
