Does your dog get along with other dogs? yes, very playful
How does your dog do with cats? He hasn't been around cats, but we have small dogs (under 10lbs) and they get along great - so I do not see any issue Has your dog been around children and if so, how did it go? Yes - very sweet and playful Is your dog vocal or quiet? Vocal when someone comes to the door, and when we get his bowl out for feeding (very happy excited/jumps for joy for food!) Is your foster dog housebroken? not yet, work in progress! But he is crate trained (overnight and up to 3 to 4hrs during the day is the max we have done so far) Describe your dogs activity level….low, moderate or high energy? I would say moderate to high, he loves to play, but loves to nap too! Do you think your dog needs a fenced in yard or it this just a “nice to have” feature? I would say it would be a major plus, but the ability to take walks would be good as well Are you crate training your dog and if so, how does the dog react? Yes - he enjoys the crate, happy to go in Where does the dog sleep at night? For now his crate - once housebroken I think he would be fine in a dog bed What are some of your fosters favorite things to do? LOVE to play with toys, tug of war, snuggle, follow around the house, take naps on your lap Do you think your dog could be an only dog? Yes Does your dog know any basic commands…sit, stay, come? He is still a work in progress. He is extremely smart, so I do not see any issues with learning commands with more practice! Why should someone adopt your dog, what are his/her strong points? He is sweet and gentle, melts your heart when he snuggles up with you. Anyone would be lucky to have him as part of their family!

ADOPTING A YOUNG PUPPY FROM BFPA: Requires that you live no further than a 30-mile radius from the Triangle area of North Carolina, as you must be close enough for us to meet all the medical procedures we cover before final adoption. We prefer to adopt young puppies to people who have previous experience owning a dog and live in a single family house rather than an apartment, condo or townhome. Puppies can be vocal when left alone and shared walls are sometimes an issue. Any children in the home under 6 years old must have experience living with a dog in their home.
