She loves to play with other dogs and likes all people. She doesn't live with a cat now so we are not sure how she will be with cats. Being introduced correctly and at a young age really helps. We are working on house training but being a puppy, she needs to be taken outside often. We take her outside on a leash when she needs to "do her business". Virginia sleeps is her crate. She might fuss for a little bit when first put inside but then settles down nicely. Virginia has a great temperament and will make some lucky family a great family pet. Please consider adopting Virginia. EVERY DOG HAS A STORY: Virginia and her sister Flo were found soaking wet and huddled together along a road after Hurricane Florence devastated parts of NC. A kind person who knew about BFPA stopped and picked up the puppies and brought them to Raleigh. She then contacted us to see if we could help these hurricane victims find a forever home. We were more than happy to help them. They don't have to worry about being soaking wet and alone outside any more! ADOPTING A YOUNG PUPPY FROM BFPA: Requires that you live no further than a 30-mile radius from the Triangle area of North Carolina, as you must be close enough for us to meet all the medical procedures we cover before final adoption. We prefer to adopt young puppies to people who have previous experience owning a dog and live in a single family house rather than an apartment, condo or townhome. Puppies can be vocal when left alone and shared walls are sometimes an issue. Any children in the home under 6 years old must have experience living with a dog in their home.

PLEASE NOTE: Virginia has only had one set of vaccines so if a trial adoption begins before the second set of vaccines, the potential adopters will have to keep her in their home and yard to minimize the risk of exposure to germs. Interaction with unknown dogs at pet stores, doggie day care, dog parks and any public areas where other dogs may frequent should be avoided during this period.
