She is exploring the world and having a great time. She is learning the comforts of living inside after a rough start to life and living outside at such a young age. She and her brother, Gravy, are spending time in a puppy pen instead of a crate right now. They sleep there at night and are doing fairly well using puppy pads in the pen. When taken outside, she gets right to business and needs to be taken outside on a very regular basis. Being so young, she still isn't housebroken but working hard toward it! Ginger loves to play, eat and sleep so.....she is a typical puppy! She also likes to cuddle and wants to be with humans. She lives with four much bigger dogs and holds her own with them. She isn't intimidated by them. Ginger also lives with cats. The cats aren't that friendly toward her and she is respectful of them. She does not chase them. She is a cute, little bundle of joy and wants to bring some of that joy to your house! EVERY DOG HAS A STORY: Ginger and her siblings were living outside. BFPA and another rescue group were able to take in all the puppies. BFPA admitted four puppies who are now safe and warm in loving foster homes. ADOPTING A YOUNG PUPPY FROM BFPA: Requires that you live no further than a 30-mile radius from the Triangle area of North Carolina, as you must be close enough for us to meet all the medical procedures we cover before final adoption. We prefer to adopt young puppies to people who have previous experience owning a dog and live in a single family house rather than an apartment, condo or townhome. Puppies can be vocal when left alone and shared walls are sometimes an issue. Any children in the home under 6 years old must have experience living with a dog in their home. INTERESTED IN ADOPTING GINGER? If so, please fill out our dog adoption application by copying and pasting this link in a new browser window: https://toolkit.rescuegroups.org/of/f?c=WHMSYCNC PLEASE NOTE: Ginger has only had one set of vaccines so if a trial adoption begins before the second set of vaccines, the potential adopters will have to keep her in their home and yard to minimize the risk of exposure to germs. Interaction with unknown dogs at pet stores, doggie day care, dog parks and any public areas where other dogs may frequent should be avoided during this period.
