FOSTER PARENT COMMENTS:

Nora is super friendly, not timid in the least. She is a very curious dog and will explore anything she can. She loves kids, adults, other dogs and cats. She is very sweet. She gets along very well with other dogs. She loves to lick her foster brother and has been nice to all dogs she meets out on walks. Nora is doing very well with her 3 cat foster siblings also. Nora has done well with all the kids she has met.

Nora is a very quiet dog; she hardly ever vocalizes. She is very close to being housebroken; she is working very hard. Nora is crate trained and can be left without accidents between 6-8 hours at a time. Her foster mom puts a treat in the crate and Nora goes right in and lays down to snooze. She sleeps in a crate in her foster's bedroom.

Nora has a moderate activity level. She loves to walk and will take as much of that as she can get. At home she's mainly quiet and content. Nora walks well on a leash; her foster mom says she's easy to walk.

Nora would do well in an apartment. She would also love a fenced in yard if it was a 5-6 foot fence. She will be a fantastic only dog but would also love some furry siblings.

Nora is working hard on her basic commands. So far she knows sit and is working on more. She is also working on her general good doggy manners and is making good progress.

Nora loves eating food, thinking about food and dreaming about food. Her foster mom suspects she must have been food deprived in the past. She's very curious about her foster mom's cooking smells. Nora loves to be walked and to be petted; she can't get enough of love and snuggles. She is very adorable and will do anything for some love. She would be a great companion for a walker.

PLEASE NOTE:  Nora is heartworm positive and will be going through heart worm treatment which will be covered by BFPA.  This is a common condition for stray dogs and she is expected to make a full recovery.  She will be spayed after she goes through heartworm treatment. The timing of any adoption trial will be dependent upon her treatment schedule.  She can move to a new home before treatment but not during treatment.

EVERY DOG HAS A STORY: Nora was found as a stray and lived with her rescuer while they tried to find a home for her.  They finally took her to a shelter so they could find a rescue to help her find her forever home.  BFPA was happy to bring this darling gal into our group!

Applicants must live no further than one hour from Cary NC as our dogs must be seen by a BFPA veterinarian for all medical care prior to adoptions being finalized.  Our foster guardians deliver dogs to their new homes for adoption trials and we do home visits to finalize all adoptions.  We therefore require applicants to live within an hours drive of Cary NC.
