W E L C O M  E  T H E  H A M I L T O N  P U P P I E S !!

Aaron Burr is a sweet puppy who was born on 2/23/2029 and will be ready to leave his momma and littermates on April 17th. He is a typical puppy who is happy, playful and a handful!  Puppies this young ar e so much fun but also r e quir e a lot of dedication, so anyone looking for a puppy should be realistic in the work puppies take initially. An adopter needs to be able to take them outside frequently so they can be housebroken. Aaron Burr's momma is around 45 lbs and his Dad is unknown. Want a cuddly black lab in your family?  Fill out an application now!

They will require 3 rounds of vaccinations as well as spay/neuter around the age of 4 months, this is all covered by the adoption fee.  Please see specific requirements for puppy adoption below. If you can  give him a good home, fill out an application!!

Aaron Burr and 6 other Hamilton puppies will be available for trial adoptions beginning in mid-April after their first set of vaccines. The puppies will need to remain in the adopters home/yard  to ensure that they are not exposed to dangerous viruses until they have their second set of vaccines approximately one month later.  They will not be able to go to dog parks, doggie day care, other yards, etc. before getting their second set of vaccines.  If you are interested in adopting Aaron Burr or any of these puppies, please complete an application using the link below.  If you are approved, you can meet Aaron Burr as well as all the puppies before they leave to go to adopters or foster homes. Please consider one of these cute black lab mix puppies!

EVERY DOG HAS A STORY:  Aaron Burr was one of 7 puppies born to Lizzy. Lizzy was pulled from a rural shelter only days before her puppies were born. Lizzy is shown in the photo above with her puppies. We do know know anything about the father of the pups.

ADOPTING A YOUNG PUPPY FROM BFPA: Requires that you live no further than a 30-mile radius from the Triangle area of North Carolina, as you must be close enough for us to meet all the medical procedures we cover before final adoption. We prefer to adopt young puppies to people who have previous experience owning a dog and live in a single family house rather than an apartment, condo or townhome. Puppies can be vocal when left alone and shared walls are sometimes an issue.  Any children in the home under 6 years old must have experience living with a dog in their home.

PLEASE NOTE: AARON BURR has only had one set of vaccines so if a trial adoption begins before the second set of vaccines, the potential adopters will have to keep AARON BURR in their home and yard to minimize the risk of exposure to germs.   Interaction with unknown dogs at pet stores, doggie day care, dog parks, apartment common areas and any public areas where other dogs may frequent should be avoided during this period.

Some of the information contained in this biography includes approximations based on our expertise and is not guaranteed. We do home visits to finalize adoptions and/or deliver the adopted dog. Therefore, we prefer potential adopters live a reasonable distance to the Triangle area (Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill) of North Carolina.  All animals will be up to date on all  vaccinations, spayed/neutered and micro chipped before the adoption  is finalized. Fee is $225 for dogs, $115 for cats.
