FOSTER PARENT COMMENTS:

Alvin is a super adorable, playful and friendly puppy. He does well with other dogs. According to his foster mom he likes to chase cats but she thinks this can be worked on with him since he’s still so young. Alvin has not yet had the pleasure to meet children.

Alvin is fairly quiet for being such a young puppy. He will vocalize during playtime and when left alone sometimes but settles down quickly. He is not yet housebroken but is working really hard and making great progress. He still needs to be taken outside every couple of hours or so since he is still so young. His foster mom says that he will use puppy pads inside if needed.

Alvin has a moderate energy level. He likes to play but also loves his snuggles. His foster mom thinks he will do well with or without a yard. Alvin is working on loving his crate and is making good progress. At night he sleeps in a small room with his foster sibling.

Alvin promises to start working on his leash walking skills as soon as possible. His foster mom thinks he would make an excellent only dog but would also do well with furry siblings.

Alvin loves to play with toys, snuggle and splash in puddles. He’s making excellent progress with his basic commands and knows sit and come.

Alvin is such a sweetheart. He loves to be held and cuddle. He gets along well with his dog foster siblings. He is very smart and learns quickly.

EVERY DOG HAS A STORY:  The "Chipmunk" puppies were rescued from a shelter.  BFPA is happy to help find forever homes for these cute guys!

ADOPTING A YOUNG PUPPY FROM BFPA: Requires that you live no further than a 30-mile radius from the Triangle area of North Carolina, as you must be close enough for us to meet all the medical procedures we cover before final adoption. We prefer to adopt young puppies to people who have previous experience owning a dog and live in a single family house rather than an apartment, condo or townhome. Puppies can be vocal when left alone and shared walls are sometimes an issue.  Any children in the home under 6 years old must have experience living with a dog in their home.

INTERESTED IN ADOPTING  Alvin ? If so, please fill out our dog adoption application by copying and pasting this link in a new browser window: https://toolkit.rescuegroups.org/of/f?c=WHMSYCNC

PLEASE NOTE: Alvin has only had one set of vaccines so if a trial adoption begins before the second set of vaccines, the potential adopters will have to keep      in their home and yard to minimize the risk of exposure to germs.   Interaction with unknown dogs at pet stores, doggie day care, dog parks and any public areas where other dogs may frequent should be avoided during this period.
