COMMENTS ABOUT RACHEL: Rachel is a very sweet and friendly 2.5 month old puppy. She loves to be around her humans and other dogs. She gets along very well with other dogs. She does well around cats; she is interested but understands very well when to leave them alone. She has not had the pleasure of being around kids yet. Rachel can be vocal when she's excited and playing (keep in mind that she is still a very young puppy) but she has her quiet times as well. She's working very hard on housebreaking. She's making progress every day. Puppies need to be given the chance to go outside at least every couple of hours so they can do their business. At this point she is taken outside every hour or two by her foster. She has moderate puppy energy. She loves her playtime but she still needs a lot of sleep also. Rachel will start her crate training very soon. At this point she sleeps on a dog bed in the bathroom. A fenced in yard would be a very nice to have feature for this little girl. Rachel is doing very well with her leash walking. She could be an only dog since she very much loves her human's attention but she also loves to play with her dog friends. Rachel has already learned how to sit and is working on more basic commands. Some of Rachel's favorite things to do are playing tug of war and having toys thrown for her. She loves to run around outside. If you like puppy kisses she's your girl. Snuggles and kisses are her favorite. She is a puppy who loves her humans and loves meeting new dogs as well. Rachel is a very friendly little girl. She is incredibly food motivated so training should be a breeze. She still has a lot of puppy energy but with some running around the yard or playing with her she gets her energy out and then she is more than ready to snuggle with you. She is very curious and loves being around people and other animals. She has been sleeping through the night on her own. Rachel is a typical, fun loving puppy who is exploring the world and can't wait to find her forever home. Puppies this young are a lot of fun but are also a lot of work. Adopters need to be realistic in the amount of time and effort a puppy will take and also be able to accommodate a housebreaking schedule. You will be rewarded with years of happy times and a best friend at your side. Rachel's Mom, Kelsey, is around 40 lbs and her Dad is unknown. Kelsey is shown in the photos above. We feel the puppies will be around the same size as Kelsey. EVERY DOG HAS A STORY: BFPA admitted Rachel's momma, Kelsey, and ended up with not just one dog but also 7 puppies! After a very scary pregnancy and birth, the puppies are now happy, healthy and looking for their forever homes. Please consider adopting one of these miracle puppies who had to be bottle feed after being born. ADOPTING A YOUNG PUPPY FROM BFPA: Requires that you live no further than a 30-mile radius from the Triangle area of North Carolina, as you must be close enough for us to meet all the medical procedures we cover before final adoption. We prefer to adopt young puppies to people who have previous experience owning a dog and live in a single family house rather than an apartment, condo or townhome. Puppies can be vocal when left alone and shared walls are sometimes an issue. Any children in the home under 6 years old must have experience living with a dog in their home.
