FOSTER PARENT COMMENTS: Kenly is a very low key, submissive but friendly boy. He loves his pets and belly rubs. He will sometimes approach humans and other dogs but will mostly lay down, roll over and wag his tail when he wants attention. He gets along well with other dogs; he is the more timid and submissive type. His foster mom has caught him playing occasionally. He has not been around cats in his current foster home. So far he has met one small child and it went very well. Kenly is very quiet indoors and will occasionally bark outdoors. He is house trained. He is crate trained; he goes in easily and does not whine or bark. He eats in his crate and spends his time in there when his foster mom is not home and at night. He has been left in his crate for 8-9 hours during the day without any accidents. He is working on his basic commands. So far he knows stay and no. Kenly has a mostly lower energy level with some energetic spurts. A fenced in yard would be very nice to have for this boy since he loves to spend time outside and sunbathe. He is utilizing his foster's yard for his business and pleasure, he also gets to go on the occasional leash walk. He would do well as an only dog. He will occasionally play with his foster siblings but mostly he minds his own business. He would also be a good apartment dog due to his lower energy level and calm temperament. Kenly loves naps, sunbathing and belly rubs. He is very laid back and super sweet. He stays off the furniture, he is house trained and would respond well to further training.
EVERY DOG HAS A STORY: Kenly was found wandering by a nice woman in rural North Carolina. She found Kenly a foster since she could not keep him and BFPA was more than happy to take this sweet boy in and find him the perfect home for his happy forever after.
