WELCOME THE PUPPIES FROM "COCO", THE MOVIE!

Frida is a fun loving puppy who is getting ready to venture out into the world without her siblings and momma.  She is the runt of the litter but she hangs in there with the rest of the pack! Her mom is a 35lb beagle mix.   She can't wait to explore and start her new life. She is having her first vet visit and vaccines on 9/6/19 and will be able to begin a trial adoption shortly thereafter. All puppy vaccines, deworming, rabies vaccine, microchip, spaying and any other medical issues that arise while on an adoption trial before she is finalized is covered by the adoption fee.

While puppies can be a lot of fun, adopters need to be realistic in the amount of training, patience and time a puppy will need so she can develop into the best dog possible.  An adopter needs to able to provide frequents potty breaks for her during the day to help with housebreaking. At this young age, they will nip, bite and mouth so being around very small, young children isn't always a good fit.  Please see additional information below about adopting a puppy from BFPA.

If you can provide the proper environment for a puppy, please fill out an application below now!  You will be rewarded by love and loyalty for many years to come.  Once approved, applicants may be able to schedule time to meet the puppies but they cannot start a trial adoption until after their first round of vaccines which occur on 9/6/19.

ADOPTING A YOUNG PUPPY FROM BFPA: Requires that you live no further than a 30-mile radius from the Triangle area of North Carolina, as you must be close enough for us to meet all the medical procedures we cover before final adoption. We prefer to adopt young puppies to people who have previous experience owning a dog and live in a single family house rather than an apartment, condo or townhome. Puppies can be vocal when left alone and shared walls are can be an issue.  Any children in the home under 6 years old must have experience living with a dog in their home.

PLEASE NOTE:  If a trial adoption begins before the second set of vaccines, the potential adopters will have to keep FRIDA in their home and yard to minimize the risk of exposure to germs.   Interaction with unknown dogs at pet stores, doggie day care, dog parks, apartment common grounds and any public areas where other dogs may frequent should be avoided during this period.

EVERY DOG HAS A STORY:  Frida, her seven siblings and her momma, Coco, were owner surrenders to a local shelter.   The puppies were only three weeks old at the time and a shelter was not a good place for these puppies to grow up.  BFPA was contacted and we were so happy to find a foster who was willing to keep Coco and all her babies safe until they could be up for adoption.  They are now all looking for their forever homes.
