FOSTER PARENT COMMENTS: Rocco is a super friendly and handsome 3 year old Terrier/Boxer mix boy. He gets along well with other dogs and is happy to meet all the dogs. He has not been around cats or children so far during his time with us but cat/kid testing is very important and can be arranged. 

Rocco is a fairly quiet boy. He will only bark to alert you that something is going on. He is house broken; he has not had any accidents during his stay with his foster so far. He can be left for up to 9 hours in his crate without any accidents or issues. He is crate trained and will go in without resistance or complaint. At night he is allowed to free roam and will sleep in various spots throughout his foster's home. 

Rocco has a pretty low energy level but really perks up when walks are involved. He is practicing his leash walking manners every day. He loves his walks and is learning not to pull with lots of progress every day. He would do best with a fenced in yard of his own. He would do fine either as an only dog or with fur siblings alike. He is working hard on his basic commands; so far he has mastered sit. 

Rocco loves to sit in laps, lay at his foster mom's feet and give all the kisses. He is the sweetest and most loving dog with the biggest heart. His foster mom reports that he is the perfect dog. He is a very healthy and athletic boy.

EVERY DOG HAS A STORY: Rocco was in a small, rural shelter and his time was running out.  Since he was a favorite of the shelter and he wanted so badly to be around humans, BFPA was happy to rescue him and find the forever home that he has been looking for.  Please consider making Rocco a part of your family.

Applicants must live no further than one hour from Cary NC as our dogs must be seen by a BFPA veterinarian for all medical care prior to adoptions being finalized.  Our foster guardians deliver dogs to their new homes for adoption trials and we do home visits to finalize all adoptions.  We therefore require applicants to live within an hours drive of Cary NC.
