Darcy is a fun loving and happy young girl with a lot of puppy energy. She will no doubt be a large dog based on current size.  She is a Great Dane mix who is settling well into her foster home. She is very friendly and will follow her foster everywhere around the house.  

She likes other dogs and has been around children over 12.  Due to her size, she might be too overwhelming for younger children.  She has not been tested around cats.  

Darcy is mostly housebroken.  When crated during the day, she can go around 6 hours without an accident.  She can go all night in her crate without an accident.  If she is out of her crate during the day, she needs to go outside frequently.  

Darcy loves to fetch and would make a a great running partner. She would benefit from an active owner who is able to give her the exercise and activity she needs in her life. Please check out her video!  This girl can run! 

EVERY DOG HAS A STORY:  Darcy was picked up as a stray and taken to a rural shelter.  When no one came to the shelter looking for her, BFPA was able to bring her into our rescue and she is now looking for her forever home.

Applicants must live no further than one hour from Cary NC as our dogs must be seen by a BFPA veterinarian for all medical care prior to adoptions being finalized.  Our foster guardians deliver dogs to their new homes for adoption trials and we do home visits to finalize all adoptions.  We therefore require applicants to live within an hours drive of Cary NC.

Fee is $225 for dogs, $115 for cats.
