She's appx 8 years old and came into BFPA as a stray who was severely underweight, had several medical issues (which have been resolved) and just needed someone who cared. She is well behaved in the house, she does not need to be crated and sleeps on her dog bed at night, she does not get up on the furniture (by her own choice). She loves toys (her favorite is her ball, which she carries around and chews on while her family relaxes in the evenings. She lives with another male dog and gets along with him, she has too much interest in cats so a home without them is needed. If you are looking for a low key dog, Dakota would make a wonderful companion.
EVERY DOG HAS A STORY: Dakota was originally found as a stray in a rural shelter. Her heartworm treatment was sponsored by RADAR, a wonderful non-profit group who helps at-risk shelter dogs.
