FOSTER PARENT COMMENTS:

Meet Timon , a  friendly, cuddly, and confident puppy. He loves to play and "talk" when play-wrestling with his humans.  He is very smart and will vocalize to let you know when he wants or needs something or he hears someone approaching.  Because of his barking, he would not be a good fit for apartment living. He is being introduced to new dogs and has not been around cats or children yet.

Like all puppies, Timon is learning house training and is coming along nicely.  Typically he needs to go out every couple of hours during the day since he is a puppy. Overnight, Timon sleeps for 8-9 hours without a potty break in his crate, in his fosters bedroom.  He is learning crate training. He vocalizes his objection immediately after going in the crate but calms down within seconds.  

Timons is working on leash walking. Being a puppy, he’s still figuring it out, and often sits/lays down on a walk but then is curious about the world around him!  He is treat-motivated and will “heel” as long as there’s a treat involved. 

Timon is a quick learner! It takes him only a couple of training sessions to master a new command. He can sit, come, turn around, and heel. He is still very much a puppy, and alternates energetic play with long naps. During his down time, he likes to chew on his toys and be cuddled.  Timons would love to join your family as an only dog or have a furry sibling to wrestle with.  Timons is a cuddly, playful and loving pup who wants to be close to you and be a loyal pup, are you ready to have him join your family?

ADOPTING A YOUNG PUPPY FROM BFPA: Requires that you live no further than a 30-mile radius from the Triangle area of North Carolina, as you must be close enough for us to meet all the medical procedures we cover before final adoption. We prefer to adopt young puppies to people who have previous experience owning a dog and live in a single family house rather than an apartment, condo or townhome. Puppies can be vocal when left alone and shared walls are sometimes an issue.  Any children in the home under 6 years old must have experience living with a dog in their home.
