Shih Tzu (long coat) : : Female (spayed) : : Adult : : Small Learn more about the Shih Tzu.
Wed, we took in 3 shih tzu females that are all 3 years old. Sadly they belonged to an elderly couple and the wife is terminally ill and the husband couldn't care for her and the 4 dogs they had. I guess a few years back they went to a breeder for a new dog, and it ended up being a puppy mill. I guess the husband was so upset he adopted the whole litter. 1 of the dogs went to a private adopter and the other 3 came to BFPA. They are currently with Kim Russell. We already have an approved adopter who met them today and is trying to decide on 2 that she wants to adopt. Sue Muller has agreed to foster the one that isn't taken. Their names are Pepper (black), Coco (brown), and Nina (black and white).
Some of the information contained in this biography includes approximations based on our expertise and is not guaranteed. We do home visits to finalize adoptions and/or deliver the adopted dog. Therefore, we prefer potential adopters live a reasonable distance to the Triangle area (Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill) of North Carolina.
All animals will be up to date on all
vaccinations, spayed/neutered and micro chipped before the adoption
is finalized. Fee is $225 for dogs, $115 for cats.
