Friday, we took in a little 2 year old chi mix named Olive. She was found by a young couple in Mount Olive (hence her name) who did their due diligence to try and find her owner. After her stray hold was up, they reached out to rescue for help. They would have loved to keep her, but their apartment did not allow any pets. She went to the vet on Sat and is only 9lbs and extremely skinny so I imagine she will be 13 or 14lbs once she gets to a healthy weight. She is currently being fostered by Millie Estep who used to foster a lot for BFPA several years back and adopted a few dogs from us.

Therefore, we prefer potential adopters live a reasonable distance to the Triangle area (Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill) of North Carolina.  All animals will be up to date on all  vaccinations, spayed/neutered and micro chipped before the adoption  is finalized. Fee is $225 for dogs, $115 for cats.
