FOSTER PARENT COMMENTS: Meet Marco a young puppy that loves to play and cuddle? He is friendly and a bit timid. A timid/shy dog would do best in a home that already has a dog, this would help him with his confidence. He has his moments where he’ll have a burst of energy or enthusiasm for someone or something but mostly, he is very shy. We don't have any dogs or cats that Marco can play with in our home, we also don't have small children. He is still a bit skittish, so very small children might not be a great fit at this point. Marco vocalizes to let you know what he wants so he would do best in a single family home. A fenced yard would be a "nice to have" feature. He has a moderate activity level and does great going for walks on the leash. EVERY DOG HAS A STORY: Marco was found on the side of a rural road along with her siblings. They were probably dumped there to fend for themselves. A BFPA volunteer saved them and they were admitted to our rescue. They are now on their way to a wonderful life with a loving family. ADOPTING A YOUNG PUPPY FROM BFPA: Requires that you live no further than a 30-mile radius from the Triangle area of North Carolina, as you must be close enough for us to meet all the medical procedures we cover before final adoption. We prefer to adopt young puppies to people who have previous experience owning a dog and live in a single family house rather than an apartment, condo or townhome. Puppies can be vocal when left alone and shared walls are sometimes an issue. Any children in the home under 6 years old must have experience living with a dog in their home.
