Please be aware there could be a significant delay when submitting questions prior to submitting an application. FOSTER COMMENTS: Laika is a 32 pound, beautiful, young husky mix dog! She is very, very friendly to humans and dogs. She LOVES to play with other dogs at the dog park. She has not been around children or cats yet. . We are working on housetraining and she is almost there, she still has a few accidents. She can go about 4 hours between potty breaks. She is crate trained and likes to talk when initially put in, but will eventually stop. At night she sleeps in her crate or on the bed. She is 2 years old and therefore has high energy. A fenced yard would be ideal because she likes to run. If she does not have a fenced yard, she will need several long walks a day. She walks well on a leash but will pull when she see a squirrel. She is super smart and knows sit and come. Her favorite things to do are playing at the dog park, chewing on toys and meeting new people!! She would do well with another furry sibling in her forever home. She can burn off her energy to have another dog to play with and will this would minimize her talking when initially left alone. Laila is a typical husky and can be pretty vocal when she wants attention or crated. She would do best in a single family home as she may be too vocal for neighbors in a townhome or apartment. Laika is an extremely friendly dog to every dog and person she has met and is incredibly sweet. She'd be great for an owner with an active lifestyle that enjoys being outside and she is calm enough in social settings to be taken to restaurant, breweries, etc. Do you have time to give sweet Laika the home she deserves?
