FOSTER FAILURE

All dogs on our website ARE available and require an approved application prior to a meet and greet.

Indy is a friendly, sweet, very intelligent, fun-loving 1 1/2 year old dog with a lot of personality!  Indy weighs in just under 60 pounds, is very easy to train, and is always happy to see and shadow his humans.  He loves to be outside, go on walks/hikes/jogs, play in water, and play with his toys.  He is housebroken and crate-trained and can be left alone uncrated for longer stretches.  He sleeps in his crate currently, has an iron bladder, and sleeps quietly and soundly through the night.  You’ll be up and ready for the day before him!

Indy loves to run and jump, so a fenced yard would be ideal.  If not, he would do well with a person or family who could walk him several times a day and take him on occasional hikes/jogs.  Indy hasn’t had a lot of dog socialization and can be a little cautious when meeting a new dog, but he usually enjoys playing with other dogs once he gets to know them.  He has no  reaction to cats when he sees them on walks and met a cat inside briefly and showed no signs of prey drive.  With slow introductions to cats, he should be fine.

Indy can be a little nervous and wary of new situations and animals at first, and he tends to need a little personal space in the early morning and at bedtime.  He loves people and kids.  He would do well in a house with either no kids or a dog-savvy mature child who is a preteen or older.  His current foster has a 13-year old daughter who is Indy’s best pal.

Indy will bring a lot of love, laughter, and silliness to the right family.  If you think you’d be a good fit for this sweet dog, please consider submitting an application for him.

EVERY DOG HAS A STORY:   Indy was adopted as a young puppy but sadly is being rehomed.  His family loves him but their youngest son is very active, loud at times and Indy sometimes becomes too excited by the activity. His new home should be a fairly quiet home where he will feel more relaxed.
