Patsy needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping her get a new start?
Please go directly to BFPA.ORG if you are reading about this dog on another website. The BFPA website will provide more information. All dogs on our website ARE available. Patsy is a 5 year old chihuahua mix girl. She weighs 5-6 lbs. She would love her own fenced yard so she can go potty without being leashed. She is also used to using puppy pads inside in the event no one is around to let her outside. Patsy loves to be around people but doesn't like to be picked up. She will sleep in bed with you and will snuggle on her terms only. She can have a real attitude but is also very loving when she wants to be. She is very food motivated. Patsy is Heartworm positive and we are using the slow kill process since she is so small. If you are interested in Patsy, we can provide more information about this process once your application is approved. Best Friend Pet Adoption will provide heartworm preventative to be used as the treatment until the heart worms are gone. Please considering making Patsy a part of your house. Applicants must live no further than one hour from Cary NC as our dogs must be seen by a BFPA veterinarian for all medical care prior to adoptions being finalized. Our foster guardians deliver dogs to their new homes for adoption trials and we do home visits to finalize all adoptions. We therefore require applicants to live within an hours drive of Cary NC.
