FOSTER COMMENTS: 

Delilah is a 1 year old female terrier that weighs about 52 pounds.  I have been fostering her for a few weeks and I have seen her start to blossom in this short time.  At first she was shy but super sweet.  Food was a quick way to make friends.  She gets along well with other dogs but not with cats.  She has not been around children since being with me.  I think she could be an only dog or have a furry sibling.

Delilah is fairly quiet, she may occasionally whine.  She is totally housebroken, so far so good...no accidents in the house!  She's been crated occasionally up to 6-8 hours with no accidents. She's been left free overnight in her own room with no accidents.  Delilah has a moderate to low activity level.  She gets some zoomies, but is fairly lazy.  She is not the best about going potty on a leash which I am sure will be ok once she settles and has a daily routine.  We are working on leash walking.  She is not a puller, she is polite and a little shy,  she needs some encouragement.  A fenced yard is not totally necessary but may be nice to have.

Delilah is a very sweet and gentle natured girl, a bit on the insecure side, but has been blossoming daily. Once she opens up she's very much loves her people.  She has her silly moments but has been pretty laid back and easy. She deserves an owner that is gentle and patient and will help build her confidence and build a routine.  If you want a loyal companion who likes to snuggle and sunbathe, you may be Delilah's forever home.

EVERY DOG HAS A STORY: Delilah was picked up as a stray and might have recently had puppies.   Best Friend Pet Adoption rescued her from a small rural shelter and is now looking for a forever home for this sweet girl.
