Meet Teddy, a beautiful 3 year old boxer mix boy who is 80 pounds.  Teddy is looking for his forever home after his owner passed away suddenly.  If you are looking for a dog who is laid-back, fun and loyal.  Teddy really is that perfect combination!

Teddy is a very friendly to all humans and dogs alike.  He gets along with all dogs from my 8lb terrier mix to my 80lb shepherd mix. He loves to play with other dogs and is gentle when playing. Teddy is a “gentle giant.”   Since he’s a big dude a family with older children may be best.  

Teddy is a quiet guy so he would do well in an apartment, townhome or single family home.  He is sometimes vocal when playing but never loud.  Teddys activity level is low to moderate.  He is a snuggly couch potato, but he is still young and loves to play tug, go for walks, and run in the yard. A fenced yard is not mandatory but exercise and walks every day are.  Teddy does pull on a leash but is making progress on walking nicely beside his person. 

Teddy is crate and house trained.  He has good house manners so he does not have to sleep in the crate at night.  His previous home had other dogs but Teddy will do well as an only dog or with furry siblings. Teddy would be ok if his family is away from the home during the day to work.

Teddy is a special dog!  Anyone looking for a big silly adorable dog, you've met your match! He's perfectly calm inside and likes to be close to his people. He's very gentle when playing and very loyal. Teddy is good at home alone and just crashes on his bed or the couch until you get back. He loves walks, does well in the car, and will romp and play with toys outside. Teddy really is the perfect combination of laid-back and fun! He will make an equally great dog for a family or a single person. Come meet Teddy and get some lovin’!

Applicants must live no further than one hour from Cary NC as our dogs must be seen by a BFPA veterinarian for all medical care prior to adoptions being finalized.  Our foster guardians deliver dogs to their new homes for adoption trials and we do home visits to finalize all adoptions.  We therefore require applicants to live within an hours drive of Cary NC.

Fee is $225 for dogs, $115 for cats.
