Remy is a sweet boy who is a high energy pup and would do well with an active home.  When meeting new people he is a little tentative but warms up quickly. Remy has done well meeting new dogs in the neighborhood.  He loves to play outside and chew sticks.  He would enjoy a fenced yard and due to his energy level, if he doesn't have a fenced yard, he will need several walks a dog.   He and the fosters dog have gotten along and love to play until they drop! The downside of that is that he gets overexcited and has a hard time calming himself down. If he had a canine sibling, it would need one who is able to let him know when enough is enough until he grows out of the puppy stage. Remy would do best with older children since he is still in the play biting/nipping stage.  He could be an only dog if he had attention and an outlet for his energy. He lives with cats now but will probably be best in a home without cats.  He is much too interested in them.   Big voice, so maybe not good for an apartment setting.  He is content playing fetch with me in the kitchen, napping in his crate and going out for walks 3-4 times per day.  He sits well for treats, and will go to his crate for meals.  When he is tired, he will snuggle up on his bed or with me and sleep or chew on a toy.   He doesn’t like to be left alone and is used to someone being with him during the day. So he will do best with someone who works from home or is home a lot. He can sleep in his crate all night without any accidents.  During the day, he goes outside every few hours.

If you’re looking for an adorable, eager to learn pup, you need to meet me!

EVERY DOG HAS A STORY: Remy was found as a stray and taken to a shelter.  When BFPA saw this cute guy, we wanted to help him find his forever home.

Some of the information contained in this biography includes approximations based on our expertise and is not guaranteed.

Applicants must live no further than one hour from Cary NC as our dogs must be seen by a BFPA veterinarian for all medical care prior to adoptions being finalized.  Our foster guardians deliver dogs to their new homes for adoption trials and we do home visits to finalize all adoptions.  We therefore require applicants to live within an hours drive of Cary NC.
