All dogs on our website ARE available and require an approved  Best Friend Pet Adoption  application before being considered for a meet and greet.  Please apply right away since we process applications in the order they are received.  

Vinnie is an adorable 12 lb, 1-2 yo dachshund mix dog.  He loves his toys, many that are larger than he is!  He is a happy boy who craves affection and loves his walks.  He is very playful and likes to fetch.  

He can be a bit timid at first but once he feels comfortable, he will want to keep you in his sight at all times. Vinnie likes to follow his person around the house.  

Vinnie does well on walks but will pull at times. He gets along fine with other dogs but might not like them as much when on a leash. So continued leash training will be an asset for Vinnie.

EVERY DOG HAS A STORY: Vinnie was dumped on the side of the road and found by someone who then took him to a shelter.  Best Friend Pet Adoption  was alerted, rushed in to save him and is now looking for a forever home for this cute little guy.

Applicants must live no further than one hour from Cary NC as our dogs must be seen by a BFPA veterinarian for all medical care prior to adoptions being finalized.  Our foster guardians deliver dogs to their new homes for adoption trials and we do home visits to finalize all adoptions.  We therefore require applicants to live within an hours drive of Cary NC.
